I am increasingly amused by the post modern mindset of moral relativism today in our culture.
Yet when a moral relativist adheres to the belief that our society has made “moral progress” (one example would be civil rights of one kind or another), how then does a moral relativist proceed to gage what is moral or not moral to begin with – if it all is “relative”?
After all, many of this mindset would state: “nice, am glad that works ‘good’ for you”.
Furthermore, when you ask a moral (or ethical) relativist if they INSIST that objective and absolute truth is relative, and that there are “no objective and absolute truths”, if they answer “yes”… then they have just stated an objective absolute truth!
Just some food for thought
